Why PLA
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a bioplastic derived from renewable sources like corn starch. Compared to other 3D printing materials it's:
• Eco-friendly and biodegradable in industrial composting conditions. • Easy to print at very high resolution, capturing fine details. • Available in dozens of colours and finishes (matte, silk, glossy, glow-in-the-dark, marble, wood-fill). • More affordable than engineering plastics.
Its main limitations are heat sensitivity (it softens above ~55°C) and lower mechanical resistance compared to PETG, ABS or Nylon.
